Fresno, CA – Pamela L. Emeney, RN, MD, a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist with the UCSF Fresno Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology, has been recognized by the Global Directory of Who’s Who for her leadership in women’s healthcare and graduate medical education. Dr. Emeney serves as Medical Director of Inspire Health Medical Group – Obstetrics & Gynecology and as Assistant Chief of the UCSF Fresno Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology. A professor with University of California San Francisco, she plays an integral role in resident education, supervising trainees in the operating room, clinic, and labor and delivery, while also mentoring junior faculty and leading the department’s skills lab for OB/GYN residents.

Dr. Emeney’s path to medicine reflects both determination and depth of experience. She began her career in Palm Springs, California as a critical care nurse, practicing for 12 years as a registered nurse before pursuing her medical degree at St. George’s University School of Medicine. After an initial year in family practice residency, she transitioned to obstetrics and gynecology, completing her residency at The Brooklyn Hospital Center in affiliation with Weill Cornell Medical College. She later joined the Texas Tech faculty, where she cultivated her passions for laparoscopic surgery and adolescent gynecology. Today, she also directs the Caesarean Hysterectomy Program for Central California, advancing specialized surgical care in the region.

Throughout her distinguished career, Dr. Emeney has been honored as a Top Doctor and has received a teaching award recognizing her commitment to medical education. A member of ACOG and deeply involved in resident training at UCSF Fresno, she balances clinical excellence with mentorship and innovation. Before entering medicine, she brought creativity to her work as a disc jockey and stand-up comedian—experiences that reflect her dynamic personality and connection with patients and colleagues alike. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys scuba diving. As she looks toward retirement within the next five years, Dr. Emeney leaves a lasting legacy of leadership, service, and dedication to the next generation of physicians.
